opis
Haydée Alba, for her first album, has privileged the poets of the tango by retracing in 19 titles a true story of the genre, supported by three great musicians deeply inscribed in the tradition: of her poetic breath, Haydée Alba evokes a world where the harsh reality mixes with a secret hope of love and tenderness. Today, some myths of tango have had their day: no more shady stories, brawls, stabbing. The pure love, the solitude, the anguish of the big cities have replaced the brothels where one came to be swayed on a dirty air. Originally a "reptile of lupanar", according to the formula of the writer Leopoldo Lugones, the tango will conquer the whole earth and become a phenomenon of society. After being played in places of bad life on a piano completed with a guitar and a flute, the tango will welcome the bandoneón arrived from Germany, and will gain at the same time depth, sentimentality and bitterness. To the kind and primitive lyrics of the first times succeeds a more violent poetry, strong and slang that will blossom and radiate with the author Pascual Contursi and the great tradition of tango canción . Through the voice of Haydée Alba is the full range of expressive Argentinean music that is offered to us - tangos , waltzes, candles and milongas - and his companions were great actors in its history. Kicho Díaz (double bass) and Osvaldo Berlinghieri (piano) were part of the prestigious band of Anibal Troilo (a famous bandoneonist often referred to by Astor Piazzola). As for José Libertella, one of the founders of Sexteto Mayor, an inspired bandoneonist and arranger, he has been able to showcase the beauty of these texts which testify to a deep popular vitality.
