Marking the 40th year of its career, Bratsch has developed a genuine collection: a delectable anthology comprised of three CDs representing the group's most famous pieces but also many rarities, a DVD filled with unpublished documents and film archives, as well as a historical booklet full of texts and photographs. Brut de Bratsch celebrates a dual adventure: that of a pioneer, world fusion orchestra which early on managed to invent its own style based on gypsy music, folklore from Eastern Europe, songs and jazz; and that of an independant, militant group for whom music and committement have always been at the center of their art
