Saint Martin of Tours (around 316 / 317-397) is one of the most popular saints of Christianity. For their recording, "Diabolus in Musica" have reconstructed a festive service in honour of St. Martin as it was celebrated in the 13th century in the Basilica of St. Martin in Tours on the feast day of the saint (11 November). It is based on the rite as it was meticulously defined by the canon Péan Gatineau between 1226 and 1237.
