The three Abrahamitic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam have more in common than could be assumed through the conflicts of the last decades and the much conjured "clash of cultures". The similarities were already recognized in the 17th century by Albert Wojciech Bobowski (1610-1675), who was deported to Constantinople and later converted to Islam. Bobowski translated the Koran as well as the Geneva Psalter by Claude Goudimel into Turkish. The Pera-Ensemble Istanbul and L'Arte del Mondo under Werner Ehrhardt trace the similarities of the three world religions and give the listener not only new insights, but also over 75 minutes of listening pleasure with world music, which already existed when no thought was given to this term. • The detailed supplement text introduces Bobowski's amazing biography and the cultural background of the topic.
