Telemann's Twelve Fantasies for violin (1735), there are elements of the sonata, suite and concerto, but also French and Italian stylistic elements which he knows how to use to achieve the greatest possible variety. Telemann's inexhaustible creativity and imagination expressed here are astounding. Nobuko Imai presents here her adaptation of the violin fantasies for the viola. Not only the compatibility becomes clear, but also the additional charm the pieces get from the darker, but also warmer sound of the viola.
