"From 2006 to 2010 I spent around 300 hours in the orchestra pit in Bayreuth (if you count rehearsals and performances) just for the Ring, Wagner's "stage festival for three days and festival for three days and one evening before".
I looked forward to this every year anew, and I am by no means of the opinion that I am completely finished with it.
