The first movement of the G minor Sonata is particularly appealing, with its neat articulation and tight little runs, and the same might be said of the opening movement of the A flat major (No. 31), while its finale is similarly bright and sparkling. But first prize goes to the closing movement of the D major, which skips along delightfully and brings quite dazzling dexterity. The thoughtful Adagio of the B flat major, however, is just a little too studied; but this is not enough of a disadvantage to prevent a recommendation.
