In the Villa Bertramka near Prague lived the composer Franz-Xaver Duschek and his wife Josepha, who was a singer. Both were close friends of Mozart, and he often stayed with them during his stays in Prague.
He loved the Bohemian capital, where he found lasting affection and affirmation, which he could not always count on in the fickle city of Vienna. In the summer of 1791, Mozart came to Prague to complete the opera La Clemenza di Tito for the coronation of Emperor Leopold II as King of Bohemia and then to conduct the rehearsals and the first performance. He stayed with his friends Duschek and also wrote diligently on the Magic Flute in their garden house. Jean-Claude Veilhan and his musicians put together a musical evening entertainment at the Bertramka, as might have happened during this last visit of Mozart to Prague
