Nakład wyprzedany, ostatni egzemplarz Schubert's last work - excellently and passionately interpreted. • Schubert's collection of songs "Schwanengesang" was written in August 1828 and includes Heine poems, but also those of Ludwig Rellstab and Johann Gabriel Seidl. It is Schubert's last great interpretation, which is why it was posthumously given the name "Schwanengesang", the name given to the last work of an artist. In 1829, one year after Schubert's death, it was compiled by his publisher Haslinger. Here, the baritone Dietrich Henschel interprets a miller's apprentice and the pianist Fritz Schwinghammer the Bach. The latter presents it excellently - sometimes merrily rushing and sometimes fast and passionate, towards the end even as a comforting splashing water. The slightly sweet, young sound of Henschel's baritone is able to reproduce the emotional palette from hope to sorrow pleasantly softly and passionately. The recording also contains five other Schubert songs: "Prometheus", "Ganymede", "Voluntary Sinking", "Group from the Tartarus" and "Elysium".
