An unusual juxtaposition of the original Carmina Burana and the “arrangement”. This release offer an interesting combination of some of the Medieval Carmina Burana and Carl Orff’s interpretation.
The original Carmina date from the 12th en 13th centuries and deal with rather down to earth subjects such as drinking, love, adversity, the return of Spring. In no way were they intended as art. Their name means Songs from Beuern, location of the monastery where they were found.
