The name Josef Klicka (1855-1937) has remained largely unknown in this country, the same should apply to Czech organ music in general. The French organist Michel Estellet-Brun became aware of this music by chance and got it already in the 1960s. Klicka's music reflects the composer's love for the folk songs of his homeland, but influences from Liszt, Smetana and even Brahms can also be heard
