Live recorded by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF at the Basilika Stift Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria, the Bach Consort Vienna under the direction of Rubén Dubrovsky has presented a convincing recording of this musically historically significant work. This is one of the first DVD recordings of Handel's Messiah, which is consistently dedicated to the latest state of historically informed performance practice. Sung in English in the original language and featuring outstanding soloists such as Hanna Herfurtner and Michael Schade as well as the Salzburg Bach Choir, this recording is musically one of the absolute best in recent years.
