Here is the soundtrack of the film "Les Innocentes" directed by Anne Fontaine with the musical and religious advice of brother Jean-Pierre Longeat (President of the Conference of Religious in France). Anne Fontaine's film "Les Innocentes" takes us into the peculiar world of a convent of Polish Benedictines in 1945. These nuns live a real drama in the face of the violence of the Soviet soldiers who drive out the Germans from Polish territory: certain sisters have been raped and are expecting children. In this context, the religious songs that the sisters sing throughout the days ring out like hope. This album reproduces the songs heard in this film. We also hear instrumental pieces by Grégoire Hetzel, composer of the music for this film, and other pieces from the classical repertoire. These musics lead the spirits of a broken hope to an exit from the shadows, in a light as evidenced by the photos accompanying this album: it is important not to separate the music and the light that the film harmonize so perfectly.
