A year after their success as the winners of Premio Vittorio Gui in Florence in 1991 (the first Italian duo ever to win this international prize for chamber ensembles), the violinist Federico Guglielmo and the pianist Jolanda Violante founded the Trio Stradivari, which quickly went on to win the hearts of its audiences with its interpretations of the classical and preromantic repertoire on historical instruments.
