description
Gunar Letzbor proves to be a highly competent advocate of this music. On a violin by Sebastian Klotz he plays with a warm, full and catchy tone, without neglecting the tender and lyrical. His interpretation radiates power and self-confidence, without these qualities being placed before the work, on the contrary: Letzbor presents it with a captivating lightness that gives the whole matter a pleasant self-evidence. Certainly, the rediscovery of Vilsmayr's Artificiosus Concentus pro Camera is a sensation, because the enrichment of the repertoire by this find is indeed enormous. • • Classic today.
