description
For the celebrated British composer John Rutter, his Gloria was a milestone in his career and remains to this day a favourite in choral repertoire worldwide because of its freshness, drama and pure beauty.
His cheerful composition of the Magnificat was - according to Rutter's own statement - intended as a lively latin fiesta and is interpreted here in the version for choir, organ and chamber orchestra. This charming and soul-touching choral album closes with Rutter's Te Deum, one of the most stirring hymns of praise to God Almighty.
