description
I have heard only a very few few works in the history of modern music that keep the listener in breathless suspense for more than an hour The listener in almost breathless suspense for more than an hour and this also and more and more during repeated repeated listening...One knows that Rihm can handle a large orchestra; what he does here with only with only three instruments of the same genre with only three instruments of the same genre is quite enormous and - I would despite the worn-out vocabulary - it is great music the rendition by the members of Members of Ensemble 13 is incandescent, gripping gripping and extraordinarily precise in Articulation. •H.
