Pazzini Uccelli: Liriche da camera
Carolina Pazzini Uccelli (1801-1858), a Florentine composer described by critic Henri Blanchard as 'une femme compositeur symphoniste', worked across opera, orchestral music, and the salon romance.
This disc gathers her Quattro Ariette e due Cavatine, Le Gondolier de Venise, and the cycle Mes reves d'Italie, performed by mezzo-soprano Marina Comparato and pianist Elisabetta Sepe.
All three collections are world premiere recordings, drawn from manuscript and printed sources held at conservatoire libraries in Florence, Rome, and Milan.
The disc suits programmers and buyers focused on rediscovered nineteenth-century Italian women composers and the Romantic salon repertoire.

•Carolina Pazzini Uccelli: Mes rêves d'Italie
