description
Francesco Mancini (1672–1732) was a Neapolitan Baroque composer whose flute music combined expressive melodies with virtuosic writing.
His Sonate per flauto e cembalo and Concerti per flauto helped establish the flute as an important solo instrument in 18thcentury music.
Played by Lorenzo Cavasanti and Corina Marti, and the Capella Tiberina (Paolo Perrone, concertmaster) and the Ensemble Tripla Concordia.
