description
Manolis Kalimiris is generally and quite rightly regarded as the father of modern Greek music. The inspired orchestration of his Piano Rhapsody No. 1 by Gabriel Pierné, motivated Byron Fidetzis to take on the Rhapsodie No. 2, whose title Song of the Night captures the elusive nocturnal mood
The greek soprano Julia Souglaku interprets the lyrics also known as songs by Siklianos.
With the symphonies Poems Minas the Rebel and Death of the Brave Woman Presents Kalomiri's Stories of Revenge, Courage and Visionary Transformation in purely orchestral garb.
