description
Nakład wyprzedany, ostatnie 2 egzemplarze There are plenty of fine musicians who have celebrated Chet Baker the trumpet player, but far fewer who have given fitting tribute to Chet Baker's equally compelling vocals. Joe Barbieri is without a doubt a worthy candidate. With his smooth yet fragile tone, his acute yet profound sensitivity and his ability to leave his own ego totally to one side, Barbieri tackles Chet's repertoire with a wise man's simplicity and an admirer's humble respect. Originally from Naples, Barbieri has already demonstrated his ample talents on albums including his 2012 Chant du Monde release Respiro. Like Chet's, his voice brushes lightly over us rather than caressing us, maintaining a precarious balance and a natural, innocent touch. Chet Lives! is the selfless homage of an eternal fan.
