Like Arnold Schönberg, Josef also composed Matthias Hauer "with twelve tones" - but how different is the result! Determine at Schönberg dissonance, harmonic tension and a maximum of expressiveness that Done, soauer's music is completely free of all that. • Of almost airy lightness, extremely vocal and often with melodious Major triads at the end form his Preludes and melodies that Steffen Schleiermacher now complete for the first time a condensate from Hauer's musical philosophy.
