description
The renowned Detmold Hornists put their phenomenal talent to the ultimate test on this recording of virtuoso romantic music for horn sextet featuring the rerelease of the rousing Grand Sextet in C major by Louis François Dauprat.
The first release of this recording unleashed a whole series of enthusiastic reviews: ”This horn playing from Michael Höltzel and his Detmold Horn Players is immaculate. Virtuosity in every register, impeccable intonation, Höltzel himself floating like an acrobat high in the roof of the circus tent.” • (Brass Bulletin).
