Caldara: 12 Sinfonie a quattro
Nakład wyprzedany, ostatnie 2 egzemplarze

Antonio Caldara's childhood and youth are shrouded in darkness, but the first evidence of him is as an alto at St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, where his first opera was performed in 1689. His next stops were Mantua and Rome, where he met Handel, who was causing a sensation in the Eternal City. in 1710, he was appointed Vice-Kapellmeister in Vienna by the extremely music-loving Emperor Charles VI. Here he developed an extensive activity, his oeuvre of the Viennese years is enormous: operas, oratorios, church music and instrumental works. However, very little of this music appeared in print, which may explain why Caldara, whose works spread throughout Europe in copies during his lifetime, gradually began to disappear from musical memory at the beginning of the 19th century. With the turn of the 20th century, a musicological study of Caldara's life and work began, which today is finally leading to increased interest among performers.
