beskrivning
"This release completes the first complete recording of Felix Draeseke's symphonies - one of the most remarkable projects of the cpo label, which is truly not lacking in interesting rediscoveries. The aim here is to reclaim for the repertoire an important symphonist who was denied due recognition during his lifetime.hans-Peter Weigle and the NDR's fabulous Radiophilharmonie have thoroughly tackled this demanding task, proving themselves fully equal to the extraordinary difficulties of performing Draeseke's music. The extensive and knowledgeable introductory text in the booklet is also exemplary." • klassik-heute.de 09/05
