The Czech composer, who was sometimes misunderstood for his great contribution to the development of new music, left a solo sonata, a suite and two sonatas for violin and piano in the concentration camp of the Nazi dictatorship until his death in 1942. Since 2006 the musicians David Delgado, violin, and Stefan Schmidt, piano, have been appearing as an ensemble under the name "Duo DS" with extraordinary programs. After the complete recording of the works for violin and piano by the Spanish composer Turina for Gramola by the "Duo DS", Erwin Schulhoff's violin works are now being recorded.
