Anton Reicha was a true jack-of-all-trades in music. Born in Prague, he celebrated his greatest successes in Paris as a flutist, composer and teacher. Among his students were Berlioz, Franck, Liszt, Gounod and many more. From a compositional point of view, his chamber music work is particularly important for Parisian musical life at the beginning of the 18th century. The soloists of the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth have now compiled some of these works on CD.
