Even pilgrims want to be entertained and so that the pious devotion was not disturbed with "unchaste" songs, the responsible persons in Montserrat thought up decent songs and dances, which nevertheless had a high entertainment value. Fortunately, the Montserrat Monastery has preserved a collection of these songs and dances, which have enjoyed continued popularity since their rediscovery.
