The Italian composer Giorgio Federico Ghedini himself saw his music as a link between the present and the future Past. His intensive occupation with the music of the Renaissance was clearly reflected in his works yet he developed his own unmistakable, mainly lyrical and cantabile personal style. The development of his piano music covers half a century (1908 - 1958) and gives a comprehensive insight into the development of of his work.
The works on the present CD were written in an early phase between 1908 and 1916, which is also reflected in the shows through its freshness and spontaneity.
The Italian pianist and composer Massimo Giuseppe Bianchi plays this World premiere recordings on his NAXOS debut based on original manuscripts.
