Schubert: Symphony No. 7 "Unfinished"; Lieder
Schubert's Unfinished Symphony in B minor, D. 759 is accompanied by a Scherzo fragment written by the composer himself, which was completed in 2004 by the Italian composer Nicola Samale and the German musicologist Benjamin-Gunnar Cohrs. The Concentus Musicus Wien, the famous orchestra of Nikolaus Harnoncourt (1929-2016), has recorded this rarely heard three-movement version of the symphony under the direction of Stefan Gottfried, Harnoncourt's long-time assistant and current conductor of the orchestra. In addition, the drama overture to "Rosamunde" and songs in orchestral arrangements by Johannes Brahms and Anton Webern are performed with the magnificent bass-baritone Florian Boesch.
Works:
•Schubert: Symphonie Nr.8 "Unvollendete"
•Schubert: Rosamunde-Ouvertüre
•Schubert: Lieder in Orchesterbearbeitungen von Brahms & Webern
