description
Recordings from 1936-1966
These six CDs give a wide-ranging insight into the work of the violinist who, as the leader of the famous Kolisch Quartet, made a decisive contribution to the musical history of the 20th century. For the first time, some live recordings of concerts that Kolisch gave from 1945 to 1947 are published. A detailed and informative booklet rounds off this edition, which should be indispensable for those interested in music of the 20th century.
