To praise Handel as a master of both effective and heartfelt choral treatment would be to carry owls to Athens, and many associate choral music with his most famous work in the world, the oratorio Messiah, first performed in 1742. The choruses from the award-winning complete recording of the immortal masterpiece with The Sixteen and Harry Christophers, released in 2008, are presented here.

•Thier sound is gone out into all lands
• Let us break their bonds asunder
•Hallelujah!; Since by man came death
•But thanks be to God
•Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
