description
Throughout its history the viola has served primarily as an ensemble instrument, with solo works largely restricted to recital music. This, violist Roger Myers’ debut on Delos, offers the remarkable fruits of a “new formula” to expand the limited repertoire for viola and orchestra: skillfully transforming well-known chamber masterpieces into impressive and colorful orchestral works.
