description
When I play, I'm in ecstasy, a creative ecstasy that I don't want to be without for anything in the world. That's what I live for. "There were only a few pianists of the format of Claudio Arrau (1903-1991). Arrau's live recordings with music by Liszt, Schumann and Weber, presented here, bear testimony to his early virtuosity, his stylistic sovereignty and of his artistic Verves at the height of his career. It distinguishes labels like Music & Arts that they do not throw historical recordings on the market without comment for quick money, but also underline their importance with informative and knowledgeable accompanying texts.
