description
A little less reverb on the snare would not have made the matter paler. The pianist François Hervé sees himself first and foremost in the posture of the binary super trio. The choice of the Moutin siblings (François the bassist, Louis the drummer) dispels the first impression. A handful of standards, from "My Foolish Heart" to "Solar". A mischievous, Hancockian "Caravan". A square and hunchbacked “Summertime”. This record will not survive the decade. But Hervé, a library at his fingertips, reveals some hidden links between swinging classics.
