Isn't that Schubert or Chopin? Time and again, Jan Ladislav Dussek reminds listeners of works created decades after his death, which is why he was even stylized as a prophet of Romanticism. First and foremost, he was a child of the 18th century. The pianoforte specialist Alexei Lubimov and his master student Olga Pashchenko, together with musicians from the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, present three works by Dussek, which underline his importance for early Romanticism, but also document his classical roots. The pieces are characterized by harmonious richness and intense expressivity.
