Bartok: Racines
Florent Boffard reveals the "folklore kaleidoscope" that is Bartók's music. Recognized today as a major composer of the 20th century, Bela Bartók attached particular importance to the study of popular music. From the first contact, in 1904, folklore shaped the style of the Hungarian composer. These popular tunes, which he collected relentlessly until 1917, created multiple arrangements that would continue to fascinate the performers. Florent Boffard had previously recorded Bartók's studies for the collection of "New Performers" by Harmonia Mundi. As a great lover of the music of the Hungarian composer, Florent Boffard explores in this new album some of the most beautiful pages tinged with Central European folklore.
