beskrivning
Satire with true core Gaetano Donizetti takes his audience behind the scenes of the opera stage to show the truth behind all the beautiful appearances with biting mockery: Mediocre prima donnas and singers, all geniuses in their imagination, but in reality botchers. The opera, also known as "Viva la Mamma", was first performed in Naples in 1827 and premiered in Milan in 1831 at the Teatro Canobbiana. It was only in October 2009 that the play had its premiere at La Scala in Milan However, this performance was a highlight of the season: the students of the Accademia della Scala chose the Opera buffa for their annual performance on the grand stage of the legendary opera house, and the actor, director and writer Antonio Albanese was won over for the production: A master of unerring satire, famous from film and television, made his debut as an opera director with this production.
