William Busch was born in North London on 25th June 1901 and he died on 30th January 1945 in Woolacombe, Devonshire.
Music interested him as a child and he took piano lessons from an early age. He was in no sense a child prodigy, and it was not until he was about 15 that a remarkable talent began to emerge and he decided that he wanted to train as a concert pianist.
