Chick Corea (1941-2021) was most noted as a jazz pianist and composer, but often played and revered the Goldberg Variations writing that they were “an inspiration in many ways ̶ the clarity of his interweaving melodies and his ability to compose like an improviser”, which would, of course, make a jazz musician feel a kindred spirit.
