Antonio Rosetti (1750-1792) was greatly appreciated by his contemporaries and his name was mentioned in the same breath as Haydn and Mozart. Especially his "heavenly beautiful" horn section was appreciated and the "pleasantly flattering and sweet-standy tone" of his music was admired. The Amphion Bläserokett has selected four works from its more than 20 harmoniemusicas in various instrumentations, three of which are even available here as world premiere recordings.
