Under the direction of John Butt, the Dunedin Consort presents Bach's Matthew Passion in the version as it was performed around 1742. The ensemble is thus consolidating its reputation as a specialist in the field of baroque music. The ensemble received great praise for the unaffected and natural singing of its soloists and the extraordinary technical abilities of the singers.
