Poetic and Romantic Songs

Swedish soprano Iwa Sörenson studied at the music academies in Gothenburg and Cologne, as well as at the Gothenburg Opera School. She made her operatic debut in 1978 in Don Pasquale at the Malmö Opera and Music Theatre.

At the Royal Swedish Opera, she has performed leading roles in productions including The Abduction from the Seraglio, The Marriage of Figaro, Così fan tutte, The Barbiere di Seviglia, Faust, The Tales of Hoffmann, Carmen, Rigoletto, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Der Rosenkavalier, Arabella, Capriccio, Dialogues des Carmélites, La Bohème, and The Cunning Little Vixen.
