Here, Lévon returns to his “Sources”, like the name of the album. He surrounded himself with three doudouk players, a kamantche player, a percussionist and a pianist. His sister Roselyne, who was already performing his first album, joined him for a song. Lévon researched the depths of the repertoire of Armenian music and appropriated these melodies differently. He alternates interpretations of traditional songs with those of composers from the 18th century (like Sayat Nova) until today (Djivan Gasparian). Thus is born a very personal project full of discoveries and beauty.
