opis
A lavish, furious concert programme is coming to the TV screens at home in the context of this high-class Bel Air production: Myung-Whun Chung conducts the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in a true par force ride through Hector Berlioz Overture Roman Carnival op. 9, Poulenc's fascinating Concerto for two pianos (with the great Martha Argerich - Martha Argerich celebrates her 75th birthday in June - and shooting star Nicholas Angelich as soloist), Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony and Bizet's Carmen Overture. • As icing on the cake, Argerich and Angelich, together with conductor Chung, who is also an internationally renowned concert pianist, interpret Rachmaninov's powerful Romance for Six Hands in A major. • A sensational concert conclusion, which will leave enthusiastic spectators behind, who in view of this concentrated concert and soloistic thunderstorm will not be able to escape the amazement.
