The first performance of George Gershwin's concerto Rhapsody in Blue was given by Paul Whiteman's orchestra at New York's Aeolian Hall as part of a concert titled "An Experiment in Modern Music". This performance marked the first significant partial rapprochement between jazz and classical music. These performances of Gershwin classics and hard to find rarities capture the 1920's and 30's jazz age style and offers a gamut of lesser known keyboard works.
