Rachel Podger plays her favorite works: In addition to solo sonatas by Biber and Pisendel, repertoire rarities can be heard that will make you sit up and take notice. Giuseppe Tartini's solo sonatas, which the violinist only met a few years ago as a manuscript of the composer, stand next to a Partita for flute by Johann Sebastian Bach. Rachel Podger often played this work as a "warm-up" - after a transposition she noticed that the Partita also proved to be a gem for violin.
