description
The final 9 titles in the 30-volume JAZZ CHARACTERS NEW SERIES are released. JAZZ CHARACTERS, the authoritative collection launched in 2004, is celebrating its tenth year with the release of the expanded Jazz Characters New Series. From Louis Armstrong to John Coltrane, the collection invites you to discover the work of the great men and women who made jazz history; the pioneers of the greatest musical adventure of the twentieth century. Released as 4-panel digipacks, each volume of the new collection includes 3 CDs (nearly 4 hours of listening) and is accompanied by a 40-page booklet containing biographies and notes in French and English, with original photos and illustrations. Each artist s contribution has been enriched by a fresh selection of essential tracks covering a period that goes well beyond the previous edition of the series. The first 21 volumes of this prestigious 30-volume collection were released in 2014.
