Great French composers such as César Franck, Léo Delibes and Gabriel Fauré created small masterpieces towards the end of the 19th century, which immediately captivate with their wit and charm. Rashly classified as incidental works by music researchers, most of the songs have not yet been recorded on sound carriers and have received little attention from choirs.
