opis
The bagpipe, unlike other instruments (such as the saxophone or clarinet), is held at a certain distance from the player's body. The bagpipe clings to the player, surrounds them, and is almost a part of their body. The bagpipe is placed under the right arm, on the chest, and can feel as if it is an extension of the player's lungs.

The chanter sound is played in front with all ten fingers, while the bass drone on the shoulder sounds behind the back with the treble drone on the left, with the player in the center as an integral part of the instrument.

Pepe Romero, head of a distinguished family of folk musicians, has been playing the bagpipes since he was twelve years old. He is now known as one of the best bagpipe players in Galicia. He has written an extensive bagpipe repertoire and inspired his three sons to become bagpipe players as well.

The repertoire of this album, based on self-composed themes with clear, unmistakable, and genuine roots in Galician musical tradition, is another aspect that gives this group a very special character.

The authorship lies primarily with the group's leader, but also occasionally with his sons and even his wife, who composed the piece "Laxetos de paxaro" when she was only thirteen years old. The lyrics have folk roots, with some adaptations by Maruxa.
